2015 EPA Figures

Happened to be at the Mini dealer yesterday getting first oil change and while waiting decided to window shop.

Noted EPA milage figures on window sticker:

COOPER S - 28/23 - 26 combined
Cooper - 31/26 - 28 combined

Think that is a bit low. I get better than that in mid mode. 28 in town and 28-40 why. 34-36 combined. Cooper S. 2014

No way the 2015 is worse. The engine is an ultra low vehicle emission setup which means it runs pretty lean which should result in better milage.

CORRECTED MY FIGURES

Also, this was the figures on the automatic.....didn't look at the manual. Supposedly the automatic get better gas milage by 1mpg?

Supposedly the EPA made BMW revise the sticker to reflect not driving in the Green mode or some such garbage. Threads here support much better mileage than the EPA estimates. Cooper owners report upwards of 40MPG on highway pretty consistently.
