The downpipe does give power, around 10hp.
The rest of the system is only about the sound and look.

About the pops / bangs I like them very much, but if you don't you just need to drive in normal mode instead of sport and they're gone.

Just to update - the Remus went on the car on Tuesday. There is no drone in the car with the valve closed (even in sport mode with the pops and cracks) however with the valve open in sport mode it sounds like a shotgun has gone off and is quite boomy.

I'd agree that Remus may be being a tad optimistic as the car feels no different from stock, despite their claims.

Really happy with the car

R99 you fitted centre pipe and valved muffler right? No centre resonator?
With the valve open it smokes from both tips, in closed mode only from the right one?
Do you feel it's slower in quiet mode compared to stock?

Yes, valved muffler and the 'racing tube' as they call it which removes the front resonator.

With the valve open it comes through the left tip, and a small amount of gas comes from the right at idle - when you rev though it takes the path of the least resistance and comes only from the left.. With it closed it comes through the right tip only.

It feels the same in quiet mode as it does in loud mode - its not restrictive (or, at least it doesn't feel that way) if thats what you mean?

I think the prices will be announced this week.
No CEL on this car, but they'll probably offer a 200 CPSI version as in some market the O2 sensor range may be more restrictive.

Price available on the Supersprint website!
http://www.supersprint.com/en/US/pro...2_hp__14_.aspx

The valve kit must be purchased separately from the Quick Time Performance website, as it's much cheaper than to have it shipped from the US to Italy and then again to the US.
http://shop.quicktimeperformance.com...ct_detail&p=85

The EU-Spec downpipe don't fit with the front section of the US-Spec car.
So it must be fitted along with the front pipe.
So for now in the US the choice is: muffler+tips or full system, no catback.

Can we just install the valve kit with new tips while keeping the stock muffler?

No, the muffler must be changed at the least. The stock exhaust is completely different!

am I seeing this right? $450 for bolt on tips? So let me get this right, the exhaust is $1500, then you have to spend $450 on simple metal tips, ans $180 for the electric valve?

So ~$2200 for a valved catback exhaust? Thats even more than the JCW kit which comes with ECU tuning for an extra 15-20HP.

I hate to talk crap about any company that is putting out aftermarket items for our car which has few as is. But thats just insane.

I guess im just shocked by the price of the tips, its like a slap in the face to anyone who would be interested in buying this exhaust, who the hell doesnt include exhaust tips?

I think the tips are not included because there is a wide choice of designs with price variations.

I tried dynoing a customers 2014 F56 maunal B48 and selected the hidden menu roller test and the car still freaked out on the dyno. Spent an hour on wasted dyno and $100. I thought the manual would be more forgiving. On the Roller Test it kept asking "ESC OFF"? I'm not sure how to confirm the ok. Need help Thanks Mario

Thank you,
I was able to do it through the menu, you just have to go through the menu before the car gets strapped to the Dyno

Yes you have to do the procedure BEFORE the wheels start turning on the dyno.

Can someone interpret the codes or direct me with a link? Also when there are choices such as 1) or 2) or more, how do I select one of them?

It took a couple of try's but I figured out how to get the 'hidden menu' display to show on my 2016 JCW.

Thanks, my 1st MiNi.

Here's how we did it.
Initially we had trouble (engine was cutting power).
The issue was that the car was tested once without activating the dyno mode.
We drove it a bit on the road to make the errors disappear then we did it like this:
1) Press the ignition lever once to turn the dash on
2) immediately keep the odometer reset button pressed for 15 seconds. The hidden menu will appear
3) press the button twice to go into "roller test"
4) keep the button pressed 3 seconds to activate it. You'll see a orange triangle then the start stop and DSC icons slashed
5) turn on the car and leave it on
6) put it on the dyno and set it up to be tested (OBDII plug etc)
7) activate the sport mode with the gearleve ring
8) launch

Car completely stock, tested on our in-house MAHA brake dyno, with water cooling for the IC.
