Minor issues 2015 MCS

I've had my car for a few days now and I noticed a couple minor issues.

1. When in reverse the passenger side mirror tilts down but the drivers side does not. (Confirmed this is normal - see below)
2. The RPM display on the LED ring does not work all the time. Sometimes it does not move.
3. I don't hear any "exhaust note" in sport mode like I did when I test drove the 2014.

Anyone having similar issues? Did they remove the exhaust note?

Only the passenger mirror tilts down.

I've never quite figured out the variables of the LED ring :-(

Can't help with the exhaust note.

just curious what year and model BMW does this? I have both an BMW X5 and a Mercedes and both of them have this feature only on the passenger side. Not saying that you are wrong, I'm merely curious how this feature would be used on the other mirror.

Yes, very interesting. I have had a number of BMWs and the tilting mirror was only on pass. side. Never seen it on driver's side.

Sounds like the more pressing issue is that something is wrong with your in-laws BMW! (only the passenger side rearview mirror should tilt)

I double checked. It's a 2011 335i and both mirrors DO tilt.

Not a bad idea to have the drivers side tilt in Denver cause there are a lot of one way streets where you can park on both sides.

Funny, I'm at my neighbor's house right now, that's the exact car they have, and only the passenger mirror tilts. We just looked at their owner's manual to make sure we are not missing something. BMW calls it an automatic curb detector. Maybe your in laws car is not a U.S. spec car? But again, I've seen lots of cars with this feature but only on one mirror, never both. Pretty cool.

Hmmm very weird. It is a US spec. They like it that way so I guess it's good there's something "wrong" with their mirror.

It usually has something to do with where the Mirror selector **** is put. If you have it on one position the mirror will tilt, in another it won't tilt. Not sure how this works in the Mini.

IIRC both mirrors tilted on my 2009 535i.

At least until they stopped moving at all ;-(
