F55/F56 Motor-tober
Motor-tober
I'm new to MINI and have been awaiting my 2015 MC HT for a mere 4 months (I'm not worthy!). I understand Motor-tober is MINI's biggest annual sales promotion. So I'm wondering if this event could be used as an additional bargaining chip in negotiation for compensation, i.e., my bitching and complaining.
One of the two local dealers (not mine) is listing an additional $500 off new cars on their website, the other is not.
Anyone have experience in using this event as leverage when taking delivery of a car ordered long ago?

The dealer you are talking about actually has my 2015 MCS listed (I'm picking it up tomorrow) on their website with the $500. So I called them and asked for the discount since they are advertising it. They are giving it to me, along with compensation for the delay and the driversed.com credit.
Can't hurt to ask!

Does mini/dealer provide any discount certificates or incentives during these Moto Tober events? Is it an actual event or just a glorified test drive? Not really interested in taking another test drive as I've already ordered my car.
If anybody has any experience that'd be great. Wondering if it's worth it to reschedule my weekend to try and attend this weekend.

When I asked at vegbiker's and my dealership about the driversed.com discount they said that I needed to show a letter showing a recent graduation. (N/A to my situation -- no discount.) I wasn't savvy enough to negotiate on the prep fees which your dealership waives. With there being an additional $500 Motor-tober discount at Schomp, I'm really second guessing my decision to try to the new guy.
I suppose the ultimate negotiating moment is when I go to take delivery. Mentally I'm in a place where I could easily just walk away and reorder from a different dealer.
