For this years motor-tober event, it seems like most dealerships are holding the event on October 12th or October 19th. I was waiting to attend this years event prior to ordering the countryman. However, in the fine print, orders prior to Oct 12 will not qualify and must take delivery before December 2.

Is that a realistic time frame if you are ordering a 2014? Even if you order on Oct 12th, seems arrival before December 2 is still a coin flip.

Any thoughts on how to get in on the discount voucher for this year's event?

 

I'm just guessing here, but perhaps the 12/02 delivery may only apply to in-stock MINIs. AFAIK, 2014 production starts in November so delivery by 12/02 does not seem to be plausible.

We ordered a 2012 that went into production in the first week of 2012 production (in November 2011) and it arrived at the NJ VPC on the 12th of December. Our VPC was the second stop after the pond-crossing (Halifax, NS was first).

Call a couple of dealers and make sure of how the dealership interprets the fine print. If you order, make sure the contract states that post-12/02 arrival will still qualify.
