Sorry that I do not have pics, but the adjustment levers for height and seatback angle have been redesigned. The shape and functionality are improved.

I have a 2015 with leatherette and it still hugs like I remember from my previous drives. I supposed it could be changed, but I would be shocked.
I know for a fact that the feedback from 2014 owners and consumer clinics necessitated a change in the seat design. Trust me, it happens more often than you think. You may be shocked, but the 2015 F56 Sport seat is NOT the same seat as the 2014 model.

Hmmm... I found these pictures: 2014 (blue) 2015 (red). My 2015 has the lumbar on the JCW double stripe cloth, but does NOT have these new adjustment handles.

Maybe they adressed the problem with the thigh-support not giving thighs support with the new seats as well? That would be very nice.

We have a 2015 but the controls of the 2014. We don't feel any difference in the size of the seat, but it looks like our week 28 build might have 2014 seats. We still think they are one of the best features of the car.

I hope I will get the new seats in my week 46 build F55.
I tried to find out if the cars on the recent Paris show had the new seats, but could not find any pictures showing it.

I'm amazed they were able to make a switch so quickly. I remember being surprised when I saw the lumbar adjustment in my car and I wasn't expecting it. That said, the good news is that the seats are still awesome. It's a bit early to judge, but definitely some of the favorites I've had.

I've got one of the "early" Week 27 2015 cars (the ones that went to production a few days early), and my fully loaded leather sport seats have lumbar controls with the height/seatback angle controls of the blue 2014 picture above.

I tried the new seats yesterday on a brand new car. They are a little bit less squeezy than before, but not much. No difference on the thigh support that I could notice in a quick test.
It was a chili red Cooper SD with the JCW aerodynamic kit and sports suspension. Very nice car
the sport suspension was perfect to my taste. Not bouncy but tight. Felt like my old R53 JCW with standard suspension. Not as hard/bouncy as the sport suspension on my friend's R56 JCW.

Just picked up my 2015 Justa with the sport pack. The new seats are definitely wider. Definitely more comfortable for me.

I rather like the sport seats on my 2014 but I find that getting in without goosing yourself can be a challenge. So I've developed a technique where I turn my butt slightly sidewise., well maybe a lot sidewise, and land in between the 2 bolsters.

Well my 2015 black pearl sport seats have the lumbar adjustment wheel. Mine was built end of August. Seems strange some are different. Is it a difference between the justa and an s? I do admit, I think the seats are more snug than the 14 I test drove. Which seems to be the opposite of the consensus here. Maybe the wider ones have no lumbar? Weird

Mine has the new seats adjustments handles but no lumbar for either side. It seems so haphazard how mini decides what to install. Sport seats also seem to be wider than the 2014s which I like.

When I read about the sport seats on Miniusa website, they said the seats had lumbar adjustments. My 2014 doesn't have it. My wife's car does and her's is a 2014 also. Difference is she has something other than the standard leatherette seat. Her's has the leather surface and heating......figure if you upgrade the seats, then maybe the lumbar adjustment is added also? And for the 2015s it is standard for all the sport seats?

I have a 2015 sport seat with no lumbar adjustment. Just leatherette if that matters.

Leatherette seats in 1st and 2nd Gen MINIs didn't come with a lumbar adjustment. I doubt the 3rd Gen is any different.

This is crazy how mini randomly throws parts in cars. I'll have to check but I'm pretty sure both leatherette sport seats in my '15 S have the adjustment.

Just sat in a 2015 MY with sport seats and leatherette, no lumbar. Might be based off options. The side handles have a different design and are easier to use. Yes the bolster on the seats are a tad wider.

Possible if the frame stay the same lumbar retrofit.

That's pretty weird that some have it some don't, sort of like the rev matching in 2nd gear: some do some don't. FWIW to those without it I had lumbar on my 2007 sport seats and never used it. I don't have it now on my Recaros and they are 100% fine. I personally liked the F56 sport seats in the maybe satellite gray fabric (not leather). Very economical I thought.
