Did the f56 not have an option for rear moonroof tilt? I know I had seen it on older minis. Does anyone know anything about the subject?

 

My rear moonroof does not tilt. There was no ordering option to make it do so.

 

Ok thanks. I thought I had just missed that option on ordering.

 

1st generation sunroof vehicles (2002-2006 R50/R53), only the front glass tilts.

2nd generation sunroof vehicles (2007-2013 R55/R56), both glass panels tilt.

3rd generation sunroof vehicles (2014+ F55/F56), only the front glass tilts.

All Countryman models, both glass panels tilt.

All Paceman models, only the front glass tilts. *(fun fact)

 

I have an R56 and both tilt...but other than looking kind of cool, it's no big deal.

You're welcome, and yes it does - I agree. However, there were some issues with the sunroof cassettes and the complication of both roof sections moving, so it was eliminated from the Paceman and future models as a cost saving measure.
