This is the 1 piece chrome surround trim to front grill on a 2014 mini cooper S coupe..

mini got bumped into and need to replace..ordered part from Sewell but not sure how to get old one off..thanks in advance

 

You will have to remove complete bumper assembly,Remove all fasteners top and under front spoiler and the two hidden in the front inner fender liners,unplug fog lamps unsnap first two wheel arch fasteners just pull out.Wheel arch has two fingers at the front that slip into the bumper just gently pull out on wheel arch at a angle to release.Unplug side marker lights.Lay a large beach towel down on the floor so you do not scuff the paint on bumper,Very carefully unsnap grill surround from the back side,start on top and work your way around with a thin flat plastic trim tool(sold in a set of four at Harbor Freight $9.00).Just be sure not to get in a hurry as this whole assembly all just snaps together in multiple pieces and the chrome surround holds it all together.About 1 hour to remove and goes back in a little faster.Just make sure the two alignment tabs on bumper go on top of the receiving support pads during reassembly.Make sure everything is plugged back in before putting fasteners in.Take your time is is fairly simple but time consuming.
