October Delivery for Hardtops

With the advent of October delivery becoming/is a reality, when do you think we will actually have the cars? I suspect a time frame around October 15th. There are PLENTY of cars waiting, my dealer has 67 alone, to be delivered plus the other models currently in the que. I can't see the trucking companies using more trucks just because Mini screwed up. I see the delivery pattern remaining the same and the cars getting delivered same rate and pace as usual.

They have said that customer sold cars will be first. Before any dealer stock or dealer speced cars. That will help but I am sure there will be some restricted flow from the VDCs. Probably the distance that the cars have to go will also play a part as will plain ol luck.

They seem to be pretty picky about how cars are transported so I don't think they will just add a bunch of transporters.

We will see.

I believe the longer you had to wait those cars will be loaded first. My "Review Order Details" still has the Estimated Delivery Date of October 8th. I was one of the first 2015 to be delayed. I think we will not know the true date until Mini gets final approval and they are hoping that the date will be the beginning of October. I was told that after EPA did their testing then it would take the engineers of Mini/BMW 4 to 6 weeks to do the follow up.

Our car was finished 9 Jul and our estimated delivery is 9 Oct. Mini tells us the cars have been moved to an off-site location and covered. So I'm guessing they have already processed some of these cars and they are 'locked and loaded' and ready to get the label applied and get on a truck. But the challenge is to ship 2 months worth of cars in a short time. The dealer then have to process them too and they don't have a larger staff all of a sudden. I'm expecting Mini to update the software to fix the stalling issue and the weeping wiper fluid nozzle.

My car was finished Aug. 8, and there is no delivery date indicated on the Owners Lounge Page, Review your Order. There is a blank space where I believe it should be.

The representative from Mini USA that I've been dealing with called me last night to let me know that he shipped out our accessories. While I had him on the phone I also asked if there was any news on the delay. He told me things are moving along according to schedule and that he made sure our cars were on the list of those to ship first. I asked him if Mini will be shipping cars before October 1st or if they're stuck in the port until that day.
His response was that they "are allowed to begin wholesaling the car as of October 1st". So maybe they will ship them soon? I dunno?

Although I really want my car, I do enjoy checking KBB and NADA to see the value of my current car dropping and knowing that the dealership has guaranteed my trade value. Makes me feel like I'm getting a better deal!
