Does anyone know of a feasible way to disable the "dance" of the ambient lighting when you unlock and open the door of the car. The cycle through all of the colors that the system makes looks a little boy racer to me IMHO. I like the solid color light it has when running, but the cycle through all colors is just a little too much.

 

Don't think this can be disabled without programming from the MINI computer. Some people tried this with the 2011+ R56+ because it does the same thing.

 

I know that it is possible with NCS Expert on a R56. It called something like: welcome_scenario

Once someone figures out coding on the F56, it will probably be very similar.

 

I believe all you have to do is push and hold the ambient light switch. Check page 89 in the manual. Push and release to manually change the color. Hold to make it rotate thru or to stop it.
