Neither Fob will unlock doors now... any ideas?

I have been driving my new MINI fine for a few weeks and haven't had an issues. Today when I went out to unlock the car the doors would not unlock. I thought it might be an issue with my primary Fob so I went in and got the other one -- that one didn't work either.

I thought the battery might be dead (in the car) but I noticed when I tried and manually open the trunk (which is still locked) it makes the hazard triangle (above the main round control area) light up.

Any ideas?

There is a manual key in the FOB and place to insert it in the door handle.
There is a small cover over the insert area on the handle.
There are also some pics posted on this site.
Do a seach as many will to come up w/ the link or go to the manual on-line

Check/Change the FOB battery

More help:
There is a little button on the side of the FOB.
Push it in , pull out the key.
There is a key hole in the drivers door outside handle,
underneath the handle.
Insert key.....

After you insert the key in the handle bottom, the plastic oval will come off the handle.
CATCH IT.
In the middle of the round inner circle in the exposed handle you will see a rectangular key hole.
Insert key and turn.
The door will open.
When inside, on the right hand side of the steering column you will see a decal picture of a key.
Put the FOB next to the decal and start the car.

We do NOT have comfort assist on our F56S.
The directions above work on a non comfort assist.
I do not know if the C A cars are the same format.
Perhaps a C A set up F56 owner could comment.
