F55/F56 Tpms?
Tpms?
Now at about 2000 miles since purchased on 7/15.
Yesterday while driving in 90F weather the TPMS warning light suddenly came on the dash for tire pressure TOO LOW for the first time.
I checked the onboard dash reading and it indicates all 4 tires are at 36-37 psi range. I came home and again manually checked each tire using my own gauge and, indeed, they are all within 36-37 psi range. So, what the heck?
Anyway, went ahead and recalibrated/reset the TPMS by following the simple procedure on the dash menu followed by short driving as required. The TPMS warning light stayed OFF for now.
Any idea why the TPMS LOW pressure warning light came on when all 4 tire pressure readings are at the HIGHER end of the spec?

You bet I did.
I checked tire pressure, coolant level, battery voltage, anything and everything under the hood as much as I could as soon as I got home - excpet the engine oil level because I couldn't find the damn oil dip stick! (well, had to rely on dash gauge).
Actually I raised the factory/deaelr set tire pressure from 32-33 to 36-37 psi the first day at home.
I just can't think of any reason why the TPMS would say "LOW" pressure when in fact it's at the "HIGH" end of the spec and after driving for 2000 miles with the same pressure reading.

That's why I wrote...
Hello, have a 2006 Mini-Cooper S. Low tire pressure gauge has been lighted on dash for four months. Took to 2 foreign car mechanics - both said tire pressure fine. Both felt sensor shot. 1 quoted $250 to fix, other $65.00. Said no to both. Called Mini dealership and person said happens all the time. Gently pull out rubber rim around reset button and button near e-brake, disco from plug-in computer like plug. Remove piece and use rubbing alcohol gently while pushing button up and down. Dry off. Reconnect all. It worked immediately!!! Hope this helps with sticking reset button issue.
