I have the Voice Activation button on my steering wheel, but it doesn't do anything. I have the basic radio. Should I be able to use voice activation?

Sorry for all the questions, I did read the manual, but since it's designed generically and lists every feature, I don't know what features my car is supposed to actually have :/

 

with the basic radio, voice activation does nothing. confirmed that with the dealer the day i picked up the car. same boat here.

 

Seems so odd they would keep the button!

 

I remember the sales rep glossing over that button during the test drive, saying it "doesn't do anything", and skipping right to the phone button below.
I also have the standard radio and basic LED display.

 

Well, poop. I guess they had to leave it instead of making a whole 'nother steering wheel, but that's a bummer. I was hoping...
