So, that would make your vanity plate "leviosa", right?

We have always given our vehicles female names. Mine is called Pepper, as in Chili Pepper because she is hot!

Too Funny
SeptTB, you crack me up. Ben's a stud name! haha I like Ben, because it's a short name that's so masculine and big...I mean, there's Big Ben, afterall!

Rocket_man, loved the link for the stickers. I wanted to name ours Peanut, that was the name of the yellow M & M. I wanted to get a big white "M" to stick on the back of the car, because it looks like a giant yellow peanut M & M, but, alas...my husband wasn't having any of that! It is his commute car.

I also liked "Lil Bus" since it's yellow w/a white roof. He still is going to get the license plate frame that says that! haha

Love the names everyone...very individual and creative. The reasoning behind the names is fun too.

I giggle that some are thoroughly opposed to naming their cars, which is fine...but note that most vessels in history have a name. Our Mini came in on the Fedora. It's not out of the ordinary, whether it's a ship or a car, it's still got a life. It runs on batteries and gas, instead of a heart and blood. Keep them coming!

The only machines I've named are two identical sous vide immersion circulators that I use in my kitchen. To be able to tell them apart, I placed labels on them declaring "Thing One" and "Thing Two".

I also considered using this designation for our two sons, but considering they were born 4 years apart, I figured I didn't have to put labels on them to tell which is which.

My girlfriend and I had our own favorites for naming my mini. I tend to see my cars as girls rather than masculine names (me being a guy). I came up with "Mini Spice" the 6th spice girl seeing as it's british heritage and I thought it was funny. My girlfriend insisted my F56 is a guy and we decided on "Barnes". I think it fits the masculine thunder grey with white stripes well

I'm leaning towards a name even more geeky...I doubt anyone on here would know what it's from if not for a google search.

Rahxephon shows up in another 2 weeks
I love Rahxephon! I have the whole DVD set

My little boi is named Gavin, he is named after a bloke from England on a few popular youtube channels (LetsPlay, Rooster Teeth, Slomoguys). the guy is hilarious and my wife likes the name :D

alanz, that's funny, we're of similar minds about kid names...my kids are named Spawn 1 and Spawn 2 (they're only 17 months apart). The teachers appreciated the distinctions, too, since everyone assumed they were twins.

Forgive me, randomquickness, how do you pronounce Rahxephon?

Damien
Since this vehicle is possessed with gremlins, I thought that this name would be appropriate.
