I've had my 2014 MCS for seven years now, almost 460,000 miles, three years of that rally racing in Europe (mainly Greece). Did Paris-Dakar in it in 2009. Heck, even driven it from Fairbanks AK to Peru (three times). Plus, it's my daily driver with over a 3.203 mi drive to work each and every day!
It's been flawless! Haven't even had to refill the windshield wiper fluid yet.

The only reason I would wait would be for the F56 JCW (next year I think). That will probably be a killer car. Or for the JCW body kit, which may be available this fall when the 2015 model comes out. I don't buy into the reliability will get better idea. There were issues with the R56 in later years that didn't happen the first year. These cars are checked out pretty well before release. They don't want a bunch of warranty issues.

Exactly, Normally one year is not long enough to sort out the serious reliability issues anyway. Don't worry about it, enjoy the ride.
