haha COTA is local but $$$. I have a License at Driveway Austin. Harris Hill isn't very far away either. I've around there for a few laps in the P. I believe the drivetrain loss on the TT is somewhere around 10%

With that drivetrain, my ballpark guess would be at least another 5%--meaning your car is over 500ft/lbs. Nasty.

yeah, it feels quite healthy as it has a good amount of weight reduction as well.

Cool, I'll investigate CQuartz. I've used Klasse happily for years...

I'm doing a muffler delete this afternoon. Also, I ordered my new wheels and tires today:

O.Z. Alleggerita 17x8 ET35 with 215/45/17 Hankook R-S3. I expect this will be somewhat aggressive. Next up will be coilovers and a little camber.

Here's a couple pics of how the muffler delete turned out. Not the prettiest thing in the world but from a normal angle it still looks stock which is what i was going for

it's nice on startup and under acceleration. It is a little raspier than I expected. Absolutely no drone at any speed thankfully.

next on my to do list will be coilovers (unless brake upgrades become available soon)

Not really...i don't want the jcw brakes. I want stoptech, brembo, alcon, AP, DBA, wilwood, or something along those lines with forged calipers.

Of course i haven't gotten a quote on the jcw brakes and the brands i mentioned are $$ so we'll see what happens.

The JCW's are made by Brembo - so thats one of your brands ticked off!

Blues Garage have Alcon and AP kits avaliable - but not an 'official' kit, its one that have custom machined brackets for.

Well i have determined that OZ Alleggeritas with ET35 offset do require longer bolts. Factory bolts have a 27mm shank length so i ordered a set of 40mm bolts. Wheels will get mounted next saturday!

The backpad on these wheels are thicker than factory. OZ could have drilled the bolt holes deeper but i'm guessing they didn't for structural integrity. With the OE bolts it was only putting about 3 threads into the hub which is definitely not safe, especially considering what i'm putting this car through at the track.

So a couple things after switching to the new wheels...

-the R-S3s have a ton more grip which is no surprise, but they are actually quieter and more comfortable than the runcraps I took off.

-while adding all that grip and a rather aggressive appearance, I still shed about 12.5 lbs of unsprung weight

-the speedometer is almost accurate now on this tire size

I will get more and better pictures after the weather cooperates...

I went ahead and put the 5mm spacers in the rear today. I think the fitment is pretty much perfect now on all 4 corners. Just needs a drop and camber and she'll be golden!

I also went ahead and ordered the esys cable on ebay. Hopefully my buddy who is smarter than I with tech stuff can help me get some coding done when it gets here.

I hit 10k miles at the track when we had a break in the weather and performed the second oil change myself since the dealership refuses to do it for free until the service light tells me to. The new tires are confidence inspiring over the runflats. The runflats felt unpredictable at their limit and these don't!

and yes, I know she's dirty! needs a bath something awful!
