If I have specd visual boost, Nav and Mini connect but not Media XL then added an Armrest (no bluetooth enhancement) can you use a armrest phone dock?

Whats required? is the wiring in and ready to go?

Are you in the US? I ask because when I look at the US configurator I don't see a way to add just the visual boost, nav, and connected system without adding the Enhanced Bluetooth.

If you try to spec a car and add the "connected+visual boost" option the interface requires you to select either the "Media Package" or the "Fully Loaded package". Both of these will add the enhanced Bluetooth and the armrest as part of the package.

No in the UK. And I had to spec the armrest alone after visual and nav/mini connect.

If you spec armrest do you get the wiring?

 

Hmmm, not entirely sure then. In the US you can just spec the armrest which to my knowledge would not include the dock wiring. As mentioned (here) if you add any of the connected options it would appear you would also get the wiring.

I looked at the UK configurator and the way it appears to me is that you have to include the enhanced bluetooth option to have the wiring. Your best bet may be to reach out to motoring advisor in UK to see if they can shed some light on it for you.
