Hoping you guys might know, but if you look at the Mini brochure it lists Chili Red and Moonwalk Gray as paint options that are available in March 2014. I can see Moonwalk Gray on the Configurator, but not Chili Red. Anyone know the status of that?

 

Looks like the Chili will be a JCW option ONLY.

Ahhh crap I was so excited when I saw it mentioned on the brochure. I do like the blazing red but it kind of depends on what light its in. Looks a little rusty at times which does not appeal to me as much as the bright Chili red. Damn you BMW, for all the configurations you offer, I feel screwed by not getting the Chili Red...

 

According to what I've read and based on my conversation with my MA last weekend, Chili Red is exclusive to the JCW models, but can be had on a non-JCW when the JCW Exterior Package is selected. My understanding is that package is coming later this year.

 

It makes sense that Chili Red is reserved for the JCW. Just out of curiosity, how much is the JCW package?

 

Maybe if that was exclusive to the JCW package from the beginning, but since its offered on loads of other NON JCW packages, I don't get the need and it really dampened the excitement of choosing exactly what I wanted.
