Has anyone tried playing FLAC music files via USB stick? Any lossless files recognized?

Try this link, it mentions the usual lossy formats, but does mention .wav and while in rare cases wav files can hold compressed audio, they are most associated with uncompressed, but very big. I've been wanted to try it since I saw this document.

I tried throwing mine a FLAC folder and it doesn't even show the folder. To it's credit it plays my ripped CDs in M4A (MPEG-4 AAC) from Winamp. It wouldn't play them off a CD, but plays fine off my USB drive. Google Play doesn't like my M4As either. If the F56 supports FLAC, that would be another upgrade! Also, that PDF is not updated for the F56, so you should just try it!

Thanks! I hadn't seen that pic. That is where I thought it would be. I guess the other benefit of the CD player is that it is not playing compressed digital music... but it is a car after all and maybe it would not be noticeable.

I'm pretty sure I had that Cooper playing ALAC from my iPod Touch.
