The rear fog light is so people can see you. Definitely lowers your chances of being rear ended in thick fog.

Seats look tight, like the GP seats?

Did you get the adjustable suspension?

I ordered these simply as an additional safety features. We don't get a lot of fog, but when we do and you've got tracker trailers behind you (not to mention people who are easily distracted) a feature like this can be invaluable.

First of all, the car looks great. I love Deep Blue, especially on the new 56's. I also really like your choice in wheels. Very "Mini", IMO. One thing I think would make it look even better, is for it to be lowered, but I like all cars lowered. Here is a quick PS I did. Hope you enjoy. And, again, congrats on the new 56.

Oh, looking at the tires, I should have saved that extra $500 on the Cosmo and gone with the 16" Victory, as they don't look bad.

Congrats on the car, just beautiful. And I really think you're on to something with that back up camera selfie. Hilarious!

Quick Update

Done just over 700 miles now in the Cooper mix of roads.

Starting to sound a bit more grunty in lower gears what's nice. Nippy as well in 2nd.
Some times even has a little pop and bang.

Keep trying to pull away in 4th by mistake...

Stalled it by mistake the other day and it took a while to turn it self back on....

MPG is around the 44 mark. Goes up and down.

Got round to using the sat nav. Very handy having the HUD looks really nice. Like the way the centre led rings lights up and counts down to corners and so on is very good.

I really like the rear view camera as well im starting to get use to it now and trust it abit more. Its very handy for tight bays and iv reversed in to every bay so far. Even in empty car parks.

apart from that nothing to report really enjoying the cooper a lot.

No issues as of yet what's always good !

Just curious how you like the standard suspension. Others have said that it feels too soft which concerns me as I really liked the way my 2008 MC handled with its stock suspension.

I only spent a few miles driving my MINI, but I thought the suspension felt fine. And I like a tighter suspension, having owned a 2003 (modded) Cobra and a 1994 Callaway Camaro. I know I am going to like the factory suspension. But there will be others who will just want/need the sport suspension.

All it takes is viewing the cluster of cars all pinballed into a giant rat king at the base of the golden gate bridge in dense fog to make one a believer in rear fogs. I can't say those drivers would have fared any better, since that would also require basic competency, but what a mess.

The nose still feels so LOOOOONG on this iteration, but like all previous models, we will adapt in time. The R56 felt massive compared to my R53 and really wasn't. Everything I read about the F56 is very promising.

very nice next-generation Mini, great color!

But looks like something went wrong when they assembled the interior- the steering wheel was installed on the wrong side

Looks great! What colour line is that? Satellite Grey? Almost looks white, but don't see that option. Also, what's up with the key?! Is it in some kind of camo container?

I'm still disappointed that in the US we can't get a complete set of 'buttons' under the AC due to the heated windshield thing. I wish MINI would quit making it so difficult to have a complete set of toggles/buttons/switches - just looks bad otherwise. UGH!

I'm currently in the process of building my '14 Cooper, but still not 100% sure I'll upgrade. My lease runs out in July, but need to shop around as the F56 just doesn't completely do it for me...

The keys in one of the key cases MINI sell. Do 3 colours green, blue and a Red JCW one

Quite update.

On just over 1000 miles. MPG is still around 44mpg. Engine is starting to sound a bit deeper and feels like its slowly getting a bit lose. I don't think it will be till about 5k till it will be run in fully.

I use the HUD display every day. I could not live with out it now. Never really look at the speedo any more. just the HUD

The car has a really annoying rattle in the drivers door car but its going to be sorted out next week. Apart from that. That's the only thing that's gone wrong so far touch wood.
