Back to Mini after a break

So I had 2010 S a few years back, which I traded for a 370Z, which I traded for a Jeep Wrangler, which I traded for a 2014 (got it in July of 13 just as they were hitting the lots) Porsche Cayman lol....yes that is a new car every year....I have a problem, I know....
Now I am sick of the $950 car payment, so I am placing an order for a 2014 S tomorrow. They tell me a late April delivery, so I am guessing mid May....
I am preparing myself for the change from the Porsche. In my favor is that it was only the 2.7L and not the S. I have to say the Cayman is a GREAT car and I will miss it. But.......Every time I make that damn payment, I feel sick.
I loved my 2010 Cooper S. I know there are a lot of new features on the new Gen that are causing some stir on this site. but to be honest, with the exception of the tail lights (which are ridiculous lets be honest), I like look of the outside and I love the interior.
I am thinking I have the build set in my head and unless I am swayed by a color I see on the lot, I am going with pepper white, black mirrors, roof and stripes. also going with the 17" black cosmos wheels.
I am thinking automatic with the JCW steering wheel and paddles.
getting all of the packages except for the flash and wired upgrade packages.
I have missed this community tons.....the Porsche forums can get a bit pretentious.

Welcome back!

Now, you didn't ask for opinions, but heck you posted, so I'm entitled!

After a 370z and Cayman, which I assume were both manual transmissions, there is just no way I would consider an AT in a Mini. My wife and I both tried an AT in a Countryman before we bought our JCW, just for grins. we made it a couple of blocks before taking it straight back...

The shifter/trans combo in Minis is so good for flicking through the gears(much like a Cayman), and the pedals are set up more perfectly for heel-toe downshifting better than any car I have ever owned...it is simply a blast running these cars up and down through the gears on a good set of twisties.....just a thought for you...

We had a Cayenne S(best freakin' handling SUV in the world....just too many electrical problems to keep it), and a Boxster S, so we know all about how pretentious Porsche forums are

The F56 is definitely polarizing, no doubt about it, but I don't think there is any argument that it's going to be a fantastic handling car. Good luck!

Lol... I was already second guessing myself about the at over the mt....I may go that way in the end.
I didn't see it on the site, do we know if there is a roof rack option for it?
Also, I am ditching the performance run flats for all seasons...do we know what brand and model they are?

Thanks for the welcome and it's good to be back.
