F55/F56 Best Color for New Car Order
I used to have a '69 Mustang (with the 4 barrel carb). Used to wheel spin on when it changed into second - the only automatic car I ever owned.
I'm sure the Mini would leave it for dead on a mountain road.
It must be fun to drive something that quick. How's the handling?
Also - Love the dark green metallic color Terry!

Trust me the Bullitt Mustang is one Bad Machine.
For a street car it can hold it's own for sure.
Everything still works on it that came on it from Ford when I Special ordered it back in 2008.
Turn the A/C on, crank up the X/M Satellite Radio, touch Cruise and away you go.
The handling of it is not for (Corner Carving) it is not set-up for that.
I'm not into that sort of thing like I was when I was in my 20's.
Now I want to see what is in front of me.

The color on the 2008 Bullitt Mustangs is called, (Highland Green).
That is the only Mustang that you could get that specific color on.
It is really going to be interesting when I get it back from Brenspeed this time.
It was a hand-full before so this time it is really going to be interesting for sure.
That's quite the Green family you have there in lots of ways!- Not the conventional "green"! Did you see that the N48 engine in you new can easily produce 255hp according to BMW in it's stock form....can you imagine a tuned one!

Looking at all the photos taken in Puerto Rico. It is very interesting that Blue, Red and Orange were the most photographed.
I guess that would make sense in a hot climate those bright colors would look best.
There are a few pics of the grey, silver and white cars (you have to dig though)...and really none of the chocolate and black that I could find.
I wonder how this would have been if the wined and dined, paid off photographers were in New York.
I am sure this is a choice made by BMW to get these bright, highly visible colors into the main stream media.
Interesting how this all works.

Yes we have right now two (2) Green Machines.

But come April one HG (Highland Green) will be history.
The 08 Bullitt Mustang is a long term (Husband) Machine.

I think they did those cars and colors to get them as you say out in the "Front" to the public.
I did see the Chocolate on a 2013 at the Mini Dealer the other day.
It looks pretty darn good to me.
Here in the South in the good Ole USA the real Dark-Colors is not IMHO a wise choice.
Way to Hotttttttttt in the Summer months with Plus 100-Degrees

Terry, I didn't know you owned a (highly modified) '08 Bullitt Mustang. I used to own a modified '03 Cobra (504rwhp). Not quite up to the performance level of your Bullitt, but 11.3@123 isn't shabby. LOL. If you're not a member of SVTPerformance, you should join. Great Mustang forums and the members there would love to see your Bullitt.
There's a big Terminators vs. GT-500 shootout coming to MIR (Maryland) in May, at the NMRA event there. You should think about going. I will probably attend as a spectator. I know some of the racers who will be competing.
OK, that said, back to all things MINI!

Wow, Terry, I'm at a loss for words. You have one of the absolutely nicest Mustangs I've ever seen, and trust me, I've seen tons over the years. I'm actually a forum member over on IMBOC. Joined in 2011. I just posted a response in your build thread.
Wow, the F56 green is amazing, especially with the white roof, bonnet stripes, and wheels. Thanks for the pics!
Now I just have to send in a new configuration before my order is placed by the dealer...
I used to own a R53 MCS in Red with white roof/wheels/stripes, and was initially planning on repeating those choices...but BRG II is too hard to resist after seeing that pic!

Hey Guys. Just to keep things "Mini" and not too "Ford".
Have you seen this vid? Might give you a run Terry...must have cost though.
Maybe you can get your new F56 to be this quick.

Man now that is one Fast Mini
My wife would probably kick my Ole Butt if she caught me on a Drag-Strip with her new MCS.

LOL,

I thought this was about color not some conversation about Mustangs. Really a shame to see this topic go down this way. I own a 08 Chili Red w/Black roof. And if I was to order a F56(new Mini) again, I would go with a solid color. On mine the black was sprayed over the red so the red shows through on every rockchip. I would also omit the factory stripes because they haven't held up well. And by going aftermarket on the stripes, one can get better quality and the look they want.

Do your stripes have the white outline (assuming they're black), and how long did they actually last before they started to wear?
I'm kind of surprised to hear that your black roof is a spray over the red deal. That doesn't seem like it would be a normal thing to do. I wonder if the factory is making a change on the '14 as far as the base color under the black.
