2016 F55S Growling at Idle
Just throwing this on here while I tear into this thing to crowd source something I might miss. The motor starts and stops no problem. No codes. Started yesterday and sounded almost like it was a tire rubbing something or something dragging the ground. Checked the wheel wells/undercarriage and came up with nothing. At idle the motor has a growl (like a fan that's out of balance) and rumbles a bit at idle and really noticeable when I give it some gas. Nothing obvious with a pretty decent inspection under the hood. Also, plenty of pressure in the crank case when I take the oil filler cap off and as expected drops power from the massive vacuum leak I created. I will try to diagnose the following but let me know if I am missing something obvious:
Belt/pulley - check for anything rubbing or coming loose
Fan - maybe it's got a blade crack
Vacuum leak - gonna go old school and hit the two tubes topside by the intake with some ether and see if she revs up
Other than that, anyone got anything or seen this before? I'll check back for responses in a bit. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for coming back to tell us. There was a revised mount in about October of 2020, so your replacement from a MINI dealer should be up to date. Not sure if you got old stock from where ever you bought it. This is the revised part number: 22118835566
