F57 2022 Whine
F57 2022 Whine
Going to take it to the dealer next week, but wanted to see if anyone else has seen (HEARD) this:
From 1mph to about 10mph, there's a while coming from the rear. It's high-pitched (dentist drill kind of whine). It starts low, then gets higher pitched until about 10mph then it's inaudible.
Coming back down, you start to hear it again around 10, then lower pitch until you are fully stopped. If you're in traffic going between 1-10, you hear it going up and down. It also doesn't matter if you are in R or D, on the brake or not, and with the audio system on or off.
Other than that ... the 2022 is BEAUTIFUL and drives like a dream. The new 7 speed dual clutch definitely makes a difference, and overall it definitely feels "tighter".
Cheers and thanks in advance for any input!

I was wondering if your MINIs service department found the cause of your issue?
A few years back a family member had a similar issue on a Mercedes-Benz. In that case the whine was caused by a bad amplifier/grounding issue.
Hopefully the issue has been resolved
