There has been several occasions where I get on the phone with someone and the person on the other end cannot hear me. But I can hear them. I've checked that I'm not muted. Checked and made the active call microphone volume is up high. Now I also realize that Voice Command cannot hear me.
I've made sure it's not my phone by using another phone, same results. I've restarted my phone. I've unpaired and paired my phone with the car many times. Still no luck. I even thought maybe it was the microphone itself. But really, what are the chances both microphones go bad at the same time? Maybe a blown fuse? I couldn't find which fuse is for the microphone.
I'm out of options and headed to the dealer. After 3 hours, the tech came back and said I have a faulty head unit and they will have to replace the unit and reprogram it.
I couldn't figure out the timing but I know it all worked at at point. Now I'm wondering if I shorted out something when I had a module installed in the head unit for my rear and front cameras.
My installer suggested that he should put it back in stock (remove the module and unplug everything) since everything was plug and play so there is no evidence of tempering.
Sorry for the long post. Anyone ever run into this kind of issue with their microphone or head unit?
