F56 (LCI) Rear View Mirror droop

Hey Everyone,

I've noticed with my 2018 MCS that every couple of drives, I've had to re-adjust the rear view mirror, as it's suddenly pointing down too much. At first I thought it must be that I live in the Irish countryside and the roads are... lets say I think they were leveled with rollers shaped like toberlones. However I've never noticed any issues with the mirror while driving or by the time I've gotten home. Only really when I first set off on a new trip couple of days later.

I have to re-adjust the mirror in my 2015 F56 every so often too.

Your 2018 should still be under warranty. You should have the dealer fix it.

Do you notice it only happening in warm/hot weather? I think the grease in the movable joint that allows adjustment gets too thin in warm weather, and allow it to droop.

As I live in Ireland, it's really only just started getting warm :P It hit 24c (75.2f) for the first time, this year, 2 days ago.

As for warrantee, I don't think it's something that a dealer could verify at this point. As it would require one of them to drive my mini for at least a week and making sure to drive bumpy countryside roads too. So I think I will have to wait and see if it gets worse.

Thanks all, I was worrying I was going a bit insane :D
