Low RPM Hesitation

New 4 dr ht with 1,000 miles or so. Wife complaining of hesitation, so I drove it in sport mode and it does seem to hesitate under 2000 rpm. Similar to our Countryman S in non sport mode. Anyone else notice this? Problem or normal? Yes always Top Tier 92 gas, first thing MINI will ask I bet.

I have a 2016 Clubman with about 400 miles on it and in Sport Mode I have noticed the same thing when letting off the clutch. I figured I just hadn't found the sweet spot yet. Just for those who might ask I have been driving a manual for almost 30 years.

Have heard grumbling about it...even the Guys at WhiteRoofradio was talking about it....seems the combo of a heavy flywheel and tiny turbo gives the lag according to them....or that what they were saying.

This issue can be caused by the a dirty connector. Check the MAP sensor connector (just left of the air intake). I pulled mine off and put it back on and the problem was solved.
Also the accelerator pedal is electric so check that connector too.

I have the hesitation 10k miles, mentioned it at the oil change and the tech said didn't find it.

I have hesitation at times. Took it to the dealer to test drive with the tech in the car with me and of course couldn't replicate the issue. Still left it for them to check out. They said they found nothing, yet I still feel it on occasion and cannot yet figure out under exactly what circumstances it happens.
