Jumping out of 1st gear

Have a 2014 MCS and the last 2 days it has jumped out off 1st gear when accelerating 3 times. Anyone had this problem? Car has 6k miles on it. Almost got rear-ended today when it happened, gonna call the dealer tomorrow.

Thanks.

Make sure you're getting it all the way in gear. There is a detent where it'll look like it's in first and stay there but pop out. If you put it in first and it doesn't seem to go all the way, go back to neutral and do it again firmly.

If it is going all the way in gear and it's still popping out then there is a problem. At least one member had his transmission replaced for that.

Several trannies have been replaced as a result of that dis-engaging first gear. Register the complaint/symptom with the dealer.

Get mine back Tuesday after 40 something days in the shop. They claim after the new transmission and car reprogram that the car is running stronger than ever. I guess we will see I just hope it will be ok.
