2022 Clubman 1” Spaccer Lift

After separate instances of pot holes ruining run flat tires, I decided to install a 1” spacer lift made by Spaccer. The spacers come in 1/2” increments, so I installed 2 spacers on each wheel. I have an appt on Monday to test fit tires that are 1.8” taller than stock tires. Once complete, my clubman will be just less than 2” taller than stock. Pre new tires, I can’t tell a difference in the suspension (I only use the car as a daily driver in the city but 1” is noticeable when entering/exiting the car.

The spacers were high quality and fit perfectly. Installation of the front spacers require removal of the strut which isn’t terribly difficult but requires some patience. The front springs are wider in the middle than at the ends making some spring compression tools not fit. It took some real effort and creativity (using a compression tool that goes inside the springs + buckle straps) to get the springs put back together. The rear spacers were easy to install. I wouldn’t do the actual work myself again vs paying a shop which has better tools but I was able to get it done (2nd wheel much easier than the first since I gad figured out a solution).

bottom line, I am very happy with the end result and once I get slightly larger tires installed, I will have the car that fits my desires…something that is between the height of the clubman and countryman.
