A while ago, I put a trailer hitch on my Clubman. Originally intended only for bicycle racks, I am now jonesing for a small sailboat (<1000 pounds total, since I know these cars can't tow much!).

To prep I'd like to install a wiring harness. I wonder if anyone has done such a thing and have any tips on a decent model? I've seen a few (Outmotoring/Minimania carry some model that appears to use vampire taps? etrailer has some versions that require cutting and crimping, running a power lead all the way up to the battery, etc). I'm curious if anyone has a recommendation for something easy-ish to install, and which actually works reliably ;-).

 

There has been a few installs shown on this forum for the F54. You should find it if you search for it....
