F54 Front Brake Service
Front Brake Service
New tires and alignment going on this Saturday, but I know they are going to tell me I need front brakes. I will do these myself. I don't think it should be rocket science, but remember seeing how-to instructions from Technical Information System for other repairs. Does anyone have access or can post the front brake service procedure for a 2017 ALL4 S Clubman?
I'm planning on using the EBC Greenstuff pads with the Zimmerman rotors. Anyone have any experience with either product? Bueller? Bueller? I've been using the EBC Ultimax pads on all my other cars for years and have had great experience with them. Thought I would go for a little more aggressive pad this time for the Mini.....

Front brakes are straight forward. Only normal tools are needed.
No need for any Torx. You will only need the Allen socket to remove the rotor from the hub assembly. other than that, the brakes just like any other cars.
When resetting the brake warning light from iDrive, make sure you disengage the parking brake before resetting it. Not sure if that applies to the front, it was needed when I worked on my rear.

I used akebono brakes pads, it comes with the replacement sensor.
my brake service indicator was on, so the sensor was already worn.
