Any downside to a 17 x 7 Tentacle wheel?

Hi guys, new to Mini. My wife and I purchased two 2016 minis within two weeks of each other this past June. She got a justa F57 convertible and I got a Clubman S. Both have sticks (which is why I ended up taking the plunge) love the cars so far. Now looking for winters. Clubman came with 225/40R18 tires on 18 x 7.5 and I'm wondering if going to a 215 or 225 45R17 on 17 x 7 would be a big deal. Tire rack say 225/45R17 on a 17 x 7.5 wheel.

Any opinions?

Thanks

For winter wheels, just get something that fits and throw some good tires on them. Cheap OEM take-offs are the best for winter duty.

We have a Tentacle spoke design in Alzor wheels 17x7 ET42 , would be good for a winter wheel and 7" tire
