F54 Recall with no fix?

Recall with no fix?
Well this is a new one. I received a recall notification in the mail today. It states that there is an issue with the Emergency Locking Retractor on the driver’s seat belt. Evidently there in more “slack” in the system than required, so in the event of a crash the belt may not engage as quickly as it should. However, the notice says that there is no fix at this time! What to do in the mean time? I’m going to write, “DO NOT CRASH!” on a sticky and put it above my speedo as a reminder for the time being. :-)

We got that as well for a car that we already turned in on lease. I still get these kinds of notices on our VW TDI Golf that we gave back two years ago.
I wonder what the liability is if you do crash and get severely injured. They know it's a problem but they don't advise parking the car until it is resolved.
