Hood Protection

Looking for cheap alternatives to a clear bra for hood protection. Any ideas? Not willing to pay for a clear bra this time!

There are the old type "bras" out there, I have thought about buying a Lebra for when I do a trip and then remove when I am home.

I did buy a cheap bra of JC Whitney , said it would fit but they are out of stock and can' get any. Thought it would be good for road trips!

Just passed on my '11 R55 to my oldest son and the front end is nearly perfect because I had the clear bra installed upon purchase. Best $300 I have ever spent (on a car)!!

Cheers.

I know, most of my cars have had them. I am leasing this car and am not sure I will hold on to it and reluctant to put more money out.

My 2012 is creeping up on 100,000 miles and my unprotected hood looks like it's been through a meteor storm...I wish I'd done something six years ago!

Yes, wouda, shouda, couda.

I probably should have put a clear bra on when I bought the car. Had 44k on it, but the since I have been the twisties, it has gotten a good amount of grit blasting.

First 2 "mods" I do to every car I have ever owned, Valentine 1 radar detector and full hood and front bumper clear shield.

Dallas Fort Worth suggestions for the clear bra? Fella who usually does our cars has said "no thanks" to all of the intricacies of this installation... PM would be appreciated if you have any input??

Cheers.

Lamin X sheets universal film and cut to fit. Another option.
