Parts are arriving!
Next challenge is getting a mirror with the alarm flasher.
I think I've found a few on car-part, but curious if anyone has the decoder ring for the MINI part number. On Real OEM they use abbreviations of EC, LED, GTO, RC 315MHZ and Compass.
I get the last one, and the MHZ is probably homelink.
From the used options I've seen if it has the alarm button it won't have a compass. Any input from the MINIlluminati?

This is awesome, let us know how it goes. You are pioneering the F54!

EC, LED, GTO, RC 315MHZ and Compass. that's the fully loaded one. Bet if you pull down the eir harness you will see what it has and if you have to jump a wire to make the compass work like the Gen 2 MINIs.

Update: Not looking good so far.
Pulled apart the area where the alarm is supposed to go, and didn't see anything wrapped up like in the R35.
Worse yet, the bracket is a different design than appears in the TIS posted by ECS (it was a godsend, thanks!)
The two mounting bolts are there, but there's a third 'arm' for a bolt that isn't there.

Next effort will be to find someone with an alarm so I can backtrack the wiring and see if it's hidden in there somewhere.
If all else fails, I may try a 'faux alarm' and get the 'alarm button' mirror. Not sure if that will work or not. I know my R53 alarm stalk flashed even before I had the BCE coded to know it was there.
