Paint peeling off of bumper area

I have three of four small circles on the front of my bumper where paint has peeled/chipped off. Anyone else have this issue? Should this be covered under warranty? It’s been like this for a few months now, doesn’t seem to be getting worse, but I get concerned washing my car.

Haven't seen or heard of that yet. I'd bring it up with your dealer if there's no way something could have rubbed or touched the bumper. Sounds like a warranty paint issue from your post. Any pictures to show us?

I have a similar issue on my 2010 R56, but only the clear coat is affected. In my case, I think that some idiot was parking by the braille method one day and I didn't notice it. Obviously no warranty.

It is now happening on the other side of the front bumper now. Small little spots where the paint has chipped and white plastic is visible. I still am under warranty. Should this be covered? I would assume so, right? I went into the dealership the other day during my scheduled maintenance and they were wanting to charge me $150 to get it fixed.

How about a picture? If it is a mfg defect it should be covered. Not every employee at a dealership is clued into what is covered, escalate the issue to management.

Are you in the US? Perhaps the warranty is different elsewhere, but it's pretty mind boggling that they would want to charge you. It sounds like the bumper was perhaps damaged during shipment and over sprayed. Is it the same color underneath or primer? Also, $150 seems very low and tell me they weren't going to do it right. From your description, it sounds like they need to remove the cover, completely strip it, repainted it, and reinstall it. I agree with Mini-the-moocher, talk to the head of service.
