There are 2 different posters on this thread who posted photos of loot they loaded into their Clubbies and BOTH show fans they bought.

Thus, yesterday I went to Home Depot and bought a 20" Lasko box fan so the guy who is refinishing our kitchen cabinets doesn't die from toxic vapors. Set me back $16 and change, plus tax.

Only thing that made me feel good was takin' the Good Truck to Home Depot, once again. (Wasn't a full load, so, sadly, no need for a photo. But I did do the kick open of the rear door and nailed it on the first attempt -- with nobody watching).

Let's see some more documentation of interesting Clubman loads people have hauled. We know that ya'll are puttin' junk in the trunk, or is it loot in the boot???
Not junk per se, but a working load in the back...
One Cub Cadet Lawn Mower, one new Cub Cadet String Trimmer/Blade Cutter and accessories

Just gotta make sure the fan is spinning in the correct direction.

BTW, the fan I bought, for 4 times what you paid, has 3 speeds, just like the trannys on my old Jaguars
Do the speeds on your Jag all work, or was it a 4 speed at one time? I presume it has Lucas electrics? You heard the one why the Brits drink warm beer? They have Lucas refrigerators!

Looks like somebody's using his Good Truck for Real Work.

Lucas - Inventor of the self-dimming headlamp. And the first intermittent wiper.

General Motors transmissions in both of our Jags -- 3 speed hydramatic. All speeds work, ...if the cars start.

That's why, in our 2-driver family, we have 3 cars. 2 sit happily seeping oil in the garage while we motor in our MINI. If this doesn't make perfect sense to you, then you do not understand the many aspects of the British car ownership experience.

If Lucas made firearms, wars would not start.

Yes indeed. They were operated by the famous 3-position Lucas rotary switch: Off-Smolder-Flame.

I award you full point value since you are obviously saving the environment by recycling all of your neighbors cast offs!

Followed the Missus this morning as she drove her Jag down to our independent British car mechanic to get the necessary adjustments to pass smog.

The mechanic's shop is like a museum. Several 1960's era XKEs and other old Jags and a few old Land Rovers.

I'm drooling over the beautiful cars and all the mechanics want to do is check out my Clubman!!

I told them that when we take the Jags in, I like to follow in my Good Truck. They totally understood.

Then, after we dropped off the Jag, we went in the Clubman to our favorite Vietnamese/French bakery to load up on sugar and high-test Vietnamese iced coffee. Lots of Acuras and Mercedes and BMWs in the parking lot in front of the bakery patio.

As we're walking from the Clubman to the bakery, a group of guys are sitting at an outdoor table -- they are obviously connected to the nice cars. One says, "Nice car. How do you like your Clubman." We chatted about my MINI and it was all I could do to keep myself from working some kind of Good Truck comment into the conversation. Just didn't feel right. Darn!!

Which is why it's important to always keep your Good Truck washed and shiny. We owe it to our admiring public.

Perhaps if you mentioned you follow the Jag to pick up any parts as they fall off, would have qualified your "Good Truck" for a score....

Never lost any parts. They're rusted on really solid. But I do catch a nice buzz from the fumes. One of the main reasons I ordered a sunroof on the Good Truck -- sucks them right in from the Jag's twin pipes, if you follow just close enough

Borrowed a couple of planks from the local boat yard and loaded up the Good Truck. Drove a few miles with one barn door open... intentionally this time.

Penalty points might have to be assessed as there is no observed red flag attached to the planks.....

I'll take the penalty points. No red flags were used during this operation.

But I did remember to roll down the front windows. Carbon Monoxide just ain't my thing... anymore.

I didn't know the Minis came with roll down windows . Where are the cranks located? Which option package were they in?

Gotta code it in, but you have to have the folding mirrors, and live in the Pacific Time zone. And they only roll down if you're driving with at least one rear door open and have a load hangin' out the back. Red flag optional.

Confirmed compressor works great this past weekend! Now have to decide to keep or sell to finance another foray into the bargain hunters world.....

Must be. We're the only ones dumb enough to pay extra for windows that roll up and down.

But we're smart enough to know how to load up the Good Truck and haul stuff around Surf City USA and look really cool doing it.

Double points awarded. Triple points if you trade it for something better. Quadruple points if you use the compressor in an enclosed space without ear protection and can still hear after an hour's continuous use. Points deducted if you trip a circuit breaker.

This is complicated stuff.

Okay. Follow up to the 2x6 load without the red flag.

I returned the two planks to the boatyard today. As I was unloading them a UPS truck pulled up and the driver said, "Great use for a MINI."

I, of course, replied, "Oh yeah. That's my Good Truck right there."

UPS driver cracked up.

My wife says I get my points back for this.

And, no, I did not use a red flag fro the trip from the marina back to the boatyard. Just the right side barn door open and the wood hanging out the back. It was a beautiful thing.

You guys are loons!

Can an F55 hatch guy, who formerly owned an R-series Clubman, get in on this ridiculousness?

ten foot boards in a 13 foot long car…
