My new Baby is at port waiting for her ride home!!!
Finally after a long **** month my build is done and the new lady in my life has made it to port and is waiting for a ride across the pond. Annoyed that it is still likely a month before I get her but at least things are moving forward!
Still possibly regretting my decision for DDC over the 19s but time will tell on that, and still driven BONKERS by the fact I cannot get a technical answer as to why MINI says the 19" wheel option does not work with DDC! My research shows the suspension configuration appears to be the same between DDC and Non, and the 19" wheel is the same as the 18" at 8" wide et54. Just perplexed on that one, guess I will find out once my car gets here.
Anyone getting closer to my forst even BRAND NEW car although I'm starting to get a little sad knowing my 2013 is going away, she has been a great car!

Congrats! I just got my production number yesterday so I'm also impatiently waiting.
I've not heard of that with 19" wheels as it shouldn't impact the suspension setup that I know of. I suppose if you're that into the 19's you could always try and buy a set from someone selling a pair. With DDC its not something you'd have been able to swap out (at least not easily) once the car is built, so I think you made the right choice! I also got DDC!
I had a similar quirky situation, though not quite as extreme. I ordered the 18" star spoke black wheels and was told during ordering that 18" wheels and up are only available with summer tires. I debated for a bit on going down to the 17" net spoke but decided to stick with the 18s.

Very exciting that your Clubbies are on the way. the waiting is hard -- the reward of the car makes it worth the wait.
I test drove 17's, 18's and 19's. Ended up choosing 17's with the DDC suspension.
Not a lot of sidewall on any of the sizes. Obviously less sidewall as you go up in wheel size. Ride quality is less harsh with the 17's.
I opted for smoother ride quality and don't feel I sacrificed performance for the fairly gentle way I usually drive the car -- though the look of 19's is nice.
The younger you are, the easier it is to live with larger diameter rims. I'm old.
Had to ditch the run flats within the first 1,000 miles. Ride quality suffers with the run flats, though the latest versions are better than the previous generations of run flats.
There is no correct answer for everyone. Just depends on preferences and priorities.
Any size you go with, the cars are nothin' but fun.
