F54 F54 Picture Thread

Don't have any "glamour" shots, but here are a few pics. The first two show our new 2017 F54 just off the truck at the dealer's, before delivery prep (and with transport blocks still installed in the suspension). Our sales rep kindly got it off the truck and ready for prep immediately -- I was stopping by the dealership for separate reasons and saw the empty transporter on its way out. That let my wife and I take delivery earlier than expected and was much appreciated. And, I know it's not everybody's cup of tea in terms of colors, but it's just what we had in mind for our personal preferences...

Thanks. That's a ceramic tint, Llumar FormulaOne at 50% on the front windows and 30% on the rear side windows. Honestly, I'm not up on the ins-and-outs of tint films, but this was available through a dealership offer, with lifetime warranty and installation by a reputable third-party installer who's been in business in my town for many years. So, we're giving it a try.

Just to let some people know MINI is having a JCW Clubman event. Select events at select dealers. Looks like only 2 events left.

I am going to see how the new F54 JCW handles.

Yeah, that's actually got a couple of meanings -- in addition to the Clubman being our little "grey" hound, we've had greyhounds in the family for 20+ years. I'm sure the F54 will be serving as a greyhound transporter many times in the years to come!

Hey, nothing wrong with Moonwalk Grey, looks great!! I went with a slightly lighter 'pallet' on mine (see below). Thanx for the info on the tint too, will be getting some tint on my windows this summer some time. Llumar is one of the top tier film makers, good stuff. I think the shop that did my last DD used a 3M product, still looked new 9 years later when I sold it.
Good luck with the tinting. With a Texas summer around the corner here, we jumped on it as fast as we could.

On June 30, I picked up a lightly used 2017 S CLubman, pepper white with black roof, and apparently some window tinting (scratched in one small spot). So far I've added a hitch in the back, and will order the accompanying wiring today. But she needs her "go faster" stripes. I liked seeing the bonnet stripes posted here, and also the 2-stripe side stripe. I worked up this paste-up yesterday, but now I almost like the normal stripes better. Which should I go for? (A) bonnet and sides, like SitBlueSit (i think??), (b) the somewhat common expanding checked stripe here (shown on a 4-door), or (C) the ziggy flowing checked stripe I pasted up from an etsy listing? I plan to install them myself, if that makes a difference (too hard to do?)

My personal preference would be option B, the expanding checked stripe...but that is my opinion. As far as applying yourself, I think that is completely doable with some time, patience and reading up/watching how to do it if you haven't before. Here is a good collection of how to apply decals:

I have used some of their products at my work place and can say that their products and techniques work very well. I prefer to apply decals 'wet' vs 'dry' as that method gives you the most leeway if you muck something up initially. Good luck.

Was finally able to take a few pictures of my new to me CPO 2016 BRG Clubman S today after having the windows 20% tinted all the way around. This almost a month of 100+ degree weather in Southern Oregon is killing me, so much nicer in the car now. I love this car even more with the Dinan chip installed now.
