Long time no see ... I know.
I'll be joining the Odenwald tour as well tomorrow. I hope you're all excited.

To heat up things, I'm going to bring a couple of free copies of the MC2 Magazine. Got them from Barry, the editor, who is pretty excited and wants a story of the event.

So bring your cameras please so we have some pictures to choose from for the article. If one of you wants to step forward and write the article or participate with some quotes, you'd be very welcome!!

Lilliux, I'll hook you up with Jürgen, aka Old Mini. He has two classics and a new generation Cooper. He lives between Darmstadt and Frankfurt.

I'd love to see your Classic join the tour.

See you all tomorrow!
Philip

Seeing ya'll at McD's!!

Howdy, fellas! Just letting ya'll know that Maggie (R53 CR/W), my wife (Kelly), and I will be making the drive from Nederlands to meet ya'll at the Ramstein Micky D's off of the E50. I'll be there before the 9am link up and look forward to putting some faces with names. TomTom's not being much of a help, but I'm guessing about 15 hours driving and I'm REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!

Cheers!

We are all still meeting in Heidelberg at the park and ride and convoying up from the there at 0900.

See ya tomorrow!

As promised, here's the Google Earth file from the drive today.

It's hanging off of my own server, so PM me if it's misbehaving.

I've got a full blog entry on this, with photos and both this Google Earth file and the one for our meandering drive back to Heidelberg.

(And I guess it's time for a new photo for my signature file....)

Hey, Poppa Bear,

I had so much fun yesterday, I went out and did it again today.

However, this time I found a MUUUUUCH better route there, that added a lot more turns and some fantastic new stretches of road.

And yes, I made Google Earth files for it, too. And even a full write up -- here.

Good Stuff

Hi,
I just want to let everyone know the run was every bit as good as I was led to believe. My son and I had a great time on the twisties and the rain just made it more interesting. I can't wait to do it again. Thanks to RudyT for showing us around. This was our first time out...meeting the NAM and Mini2 clans. What a great bunch! I hope to get out to more events in the future. Thanks to all for a memorable time.

- Marc

Hey Marc, it was a pleasure to meet you. Yep, I can't wait for the next one myself. I'll have to see what I can do to hit some of the upcoming events.

Don't know about you guys, but I don't plan to wait until next year!

I think we'll need to do another run of some kind next month, maybe in conjunction with the Mini Challenge at Hockenheim.

It was too good to only do annually!

No problem, I still have a lot of work to do on that portion of the site.

If you guys create an account, please let me know so that I can activate it. For some reason the self registration is not working.

I'm LOVING IT !!

The power is crazy I def need to get rid of my winter tires I cant keep traction.

Even when I dont let off till redline the car still wants to push it always feels like there is more to be had up untill the govenor kicks in.

Definately a HUGE boost in HP according to my Butt-o-Meter

Im up for a trip to Hockenheim on Sunday I havent driven that yet.

AWESOME!!!! You definetly have some pull with that 17%....

Did you replace that fuel sensor or are you sticking with your "fix"?

Also, question for the folks with the M7 strut tower plates. How do you like them? I am thinking about ordering some and wanted some feedback.

The fix is working great and I have had no other problems so I am not worried chasing a new one.

Yes definately good pull on the 17% but I dont know how much different there actually is from the 15% I have never ridden in a MINI with that.
