We are starting a club here in germany for all things MINI. Wether you have a classic cooper or a 2011 Countryman we are here for you. We are in the very beginning stages of forming and are looking for members to help get the ball rolling. Right now we are working on ideas for events throughout 2011. Looking to do a rally to the WRC race in Trier Aug 18-21 2011. The Countryman rally car will be in attendance.

Had a great time at the ring on Sunday. 13 Cars made for a good trip up there. Plenty of pictures and some video. Our next event will be on the 11th of June. Keep up with the facebook page for more information.

 

GerMINI Coopers BBQ/Show&Shine #2

Seewoog Park, Ramstein-Meisenbach, Germany 11:30-3:30

This is a great place for the whole family. Gorgeous view of the lake play ground for the kids room for some horse shoes, and of course parking for all our MINI's/Mini's.We will be providing Dogs, Burgers, Drinks, Sides and as always a good time. If you would like to drink something with a little more kick please BYOB or there is a beer hut on site that may be open. It will 5 euro per person and 10 euro per family. We will also be having a 50/50 raffle for the show and shine. The most voted on car wins 50% of the pot. We are now taking pre-orders for the new t-shirts as well. At thte BBQ we will be pre-selling for $15 per shirt. Once they arrive the price will go up to $20 a shirt. As always we look forward to meeting up, having a great time with good food and friends. And of course the Cars.

 

We have the BBQ on the 11th 1130-330. And on Sunday we are going up to the Nurburgring. More info to come on the Ring.

 

Just stopping by to say hey. Just traded in the old and ordered our second mini, wifes go-rocket. Should be here in August. Though the wife's not too much into clubs I like getting involved. Saw your line on the Ring and I'm about 90% sure I'll be up there this weekend, probably mixed in around some of the M-Flight crew.

 

Awesome. We will have a couple cars up there. We should be parked with the M-Flight guys. My line needs some work, but its getting there. My last time from the end of the cones until I exited the track was a 10:20. If it was bridge to bridge it would have been around a 9:50. Cant wait to get up there on sunday and get some laps in. I have the Black Clubman lowered with black and silver rims.

 

Thats cool. I'll be up there in a blue 135i and I my bud should be going and he'll have his silver 135. Shouldn't be hard to find you all I know a majority of the M-Flighters, Hans works down the hall from me in fact. I did my lap in rain so I think it was about 1100. First lap ever and I'm approaching the Flugplatz and whoosh. Decided to wait till next time during dryer weather. It had been raining off and on all day so... Hoping for a nice day on Sunday.

 

Weather is looking pretty good. A buddy o mine witha black 135 might be coming up as well. We are looking at leavin around 7:30. Do you know what time the M Flighters are heading out?

 

I believe they're planning on gathering around 8. They usually round up at PCS. Hans said they be in and around the side overflow parking lot. My bud's meeting me at my house around 11 and then we'll swing up, I live up A62 a bit so it's kind of a head start.

 

Are there any events planned after the end of October? M-flight never did anything after 15 Oct because most of the owners wouldn't drive in the rain/snow, etc. I always did and my car never melted but w/e. Since Mini owners tend to be a bit more adventurous I would think with some of the things available or better during the winter (Neuschwandstein (sp?) Castle) might not be a bad idea.

 

We definitely plan on staying active this winter. One of our main planning guys just left for an extended trip so we have been a little short handed. If you not on the Face book page look us up that is where we funnel all our information at.

 

I'm been on there since I placed my order and I'm about 2 weeks out from delivery. Good times ahead!

I came across the Facebook page and shot an email. I am heading to the Weisbaden area in Dec 2012. Is the club still active?

 

Yeah the club is very much alive and kicking. I didn't see an e-mail come through if you wouldn't mind sending it again. I am one of the people who manage the Facebook page.

 

Yeah I will send another email. I would like to keep in touch with a few pwople from over there to kinda fill me in on life there...

Yep, still active. In fact, today was the first day of the "summer tire" season on The Ring so some of us were up there. It was a GREAT day.
