So, I shipped my R53 over a month ago. She's at the port in Baltimore already.
Movers were here early last week, packing out most everything. They came back again today and took most everything else.
It's down to being me, the cat, the wife, the kids, and whatever will fit in the luggage.
Time to go buy another rack of beer, I suppose. At least the wifi still works, huh?

In about 10 days. Going to Baltimore to get Tess, then slowly driving across America with a few stops for this and that.
Been a long time since I've spent any real time in America. I hear a lot of them speak English there....

Yes, you will be missed. I will be heading that way by the end of October to Fort Lewis Washington. So, you need to keep in touch with us in this forum.

Oh, already been talking to Blimey about that. Let me know the dates -- I get to Georgia at the end of June (and am crazy busy all before than), so early July might work well.
OK, I'll add to this. I don't know if I mentioned it but my contract was consolidated and then given to Northrop Grumman. So, I was out of a job. I was offered a position with the new company to stay here, but I really don't trust the decision makers any longer and have decided to move on. Where? Well, I was offered a position on the Cape in Massachusetts working at Otis AFB. We will be packing out later this month and flying on July 1st.
It is good to be civilian... Oh, did I mention that I would be supporting the Air National Guard? Cushy to say the very least...
