Automatic Climate Control

I am trying to find out if it is possible to add automatic climate control to a 03 mini that came equiped with the manual dials? I saw you can get the controls on ebay, but not sure if there is anything else i would need? Any suggestions?

I think you need the UV senor and need to take it to your dealer to be programed. but from what i've seen you can Change out the controls yourself.

no. motor flaps on the air box would have to be rewired, if you were able to get the auto air module (IHKA) to power up and move all the motor flaps properly. the dealer wound't be able to diagnose with thier computer unless you also linked the IHKA onto the BUS systems

It wouldn't be worth the money to change over. BTW, you can operate the auto climate system in a manual mode quite easily. We guys like to be in control.

I think the manual controls use the conventional cables. I was looking into the swap out myself but when you turn one of the dials, no motors are heard actuating flaps. In fact the dials get stiff in the cold like the good old cable days did. I was hoping the manual unit was just a unit with a wireing harness like the Hondas have.
