High beam & BC1 control module

I have a 2006 MC with PIAA 540 installed. I also have the Daytime Driving Lights activated by the dealer. I want to connect the power lead for the PIAAs to the Yellow/Green (GE/GN) wire, pin 15 on the green connector on the BC1 controll module located behind the kick panel in the front passenger compartment. This is the connection indicated when the OEM driving lights are installed per the OEM instructions. I thought I read in another post/thread that when this power source is used for the driving lights the Mini Dealer will have to program the computer to enable this functionality, however I can not locate that step in the OEM instruction. When I asked my dealer to program the driving lights, my PIAAs, I received a blank look, he did not know what I was talking about. Can someone please explain to me, so I can explain to my dealer how to program the comuter to allow the driving lights to work off of this wire connection on the BC1 control module, if in fact computer programing is required..
Thank you for your help.

I have not known this to be a problem, and use that wire for all of my factory and PIAA light installs regardless of DRL's being on. The relay should not switch without the full power. DRL's output is pulse-width modulated and only shows up as few volts on a meter. I mount the switch below the center switch panel and run the white wire along the bottom of the glovebox, and tap at the exposed part of harness. You do not need to disassemble the trim or glovebox to get to it.

I would like to recap your response. 1) Mini dealer programing is NOT needed to use the Yellow/Green wire attached to BC1 module for a power source for the PIAA or factory driving lights ; 2) splicing into the Yellow/Green wire at the exposed part of harness at the bottom of the glovebox will allow the PIAA driving lights to be activate using the high beam switch (the signal stalk); 3) This power source (Yellow/Green wire-see above) can be used when the optional Daytime Driving lights are activited and 4) the pulse-width modulated voltage supplied to the Daytime driving lights will not interfere with the PIAA light relay (causing it to buzzing) .

I have only installed 1 set of PIAA's with DRL's, and it did not buzz. Mangotangoe in the other thread you posted on the issue had a good idea about installing a resistor/diode in line. I had not realized that you had already wired them, and were looking for an alternative wire for high beams, there is not one. The factory lights relay is a transistorized circuit, so this does not happen. It will require some wiring knowledge, but can be fitted to the PIAA's
