Camera Installation

Has anyone installed a forward facing video camera inside the Mini (Between rear view mirror and windshield)? I would like the video camera attached to a hard-drive that would loop, record over oldest data. My purpose is to constantly record the view in front of the Mini and retreive the data/video when the Mini is ever involved in a accident. In todays environment there is no such thing as to much evidence.

I've run a video camera off of the cars power (nothing like what you're planning) and I used a power inverter into the rear cigarette adapter, to accompish somehting similar ethier wire up a power inverter or if a direct camera to car adapter is availiable use that and then you'll need an add-a circuit in the drivers side foot well (many explinations in radr detector installations) there are many mounts availible for cameras the good strong ones run 80-150.
