I can get the $500 viper system for $180 through a hook up... I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with viper.

Does it interfere with the door locks at all?

Can I still put the windows down with the factory remote key by pushing the unlock button?

Does the auto-start work smoothly?

You cant beat that price, I'll probably end up getting it. I just wanted to see if anyone encountered any major problems.

 

I have a viper, but a cheaper version and all works fine for me, better than my Alpine on my older 02 MC. That one had problems, but it may have been because of the 02 and not the Alpine (had to do locks and alarm separately).

 

do you know if there is anything special with installing it and integrating it into the MINI?
