I won a door prize...

A set of PIAA P-1000 55w driving lights. They are the superwhite light, black and oval shape. I was wondering if anybody has put these lights on a MINI and what mounts were used. These lights have 4 oval slots, two long and two short, on the underside of the mounts, like they were meant to be mounted with several screws, not just a single stud like most of the MINI driving lights I have seen before. I suppose one could just drill a central hole and use screws like any other light. They seem like nice lights and might actually look sort of cool on a DSCs with a black top, but if it's going to be a hassle mounting them and hooking them up, I'll sell them and move onward.

If anybody had a picture of what a MINI looked like with some of these more modern oval projector type lamps, I'd love to see it. I think I prefer a more retro looking lamp, but I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, either. California BMW, in Mountainview, one of my favorite motorcycle dealerships, had their 25th Anniversary party yesterday. They gave away three pairs of these lights and I finally won something I can use (sorta...)!

If it was me, I'd eBay them and get something more like the stock lights in appearance. My suggestion: get the Hella FF200s (I prefer the chrome look over the PIAAs that are similiar to them).
