Relacing stock rally lights

My dealer improperly installed my rally light mounts so the lights shine about five feet in front of the car and can't be raised to the proper position.

One solution--given that I'm a long, long way away from my original dealer-- would be to install adjustable aftermarket rally lights. I'd probably go with ones slightly larger than the stock lights.

My question is, can I just cut the wires of the stock lights near the mounting bracket and wire in new lights, without other electrial motifications? (I have the stock rally light switch on the dash.)

Thanks.

Yes, that installation will be okay,

may I suggest a PIAA light kit for the Mini, These are slightly bigger than stock.

You will be able to sell your OEM lights and the rest of the PIAA kit to someone here on NAM for a good price.

Let me know
Thanks
Victor
