Added some driving lights

I wanted to share a little mod i did recently .I had removed my fog lights last year to make break ducts and I have found that at night in our local canyons I was out running my lights a bit and wanted to add some punch further ahead. I added a pair of PIAA 1500 under the bumper in the lower inlet. They are very low profile so I am not worried about any over heating issues and our lower grill is powder coated metal so that should not be a problem as well. I know that having driving lamps that low is not optimum and neither is having them behind the grill but I just needed a bit more distance and they are working fine for that. I have them set so they go off and on with the high beams. There is a separate switch in the kit so once I arm that then the high beam switch is in control. I did not want to be looking for two switches to dim the highs for on coming traffic.

Reasonable spot for fogs but not driving lights. Put them up higher (and out from behind a grill) and they will "punch" a lot further.

As Johnny Cochran said, "If da light is too low, you will get no throw."

I agree 100% but as I mentioned I was only looking for a bit more distance. I didn't want to do the usual outside mount and do not mind losing some efficiency with that location. I have already upgraded the high beams to higher output bulbs I was just looking for a little more out in front.
