Hi all
im planning to buy fog lights but dunno if the ones im getting are the right specs when compared to some of the other ones out there.. eg PIAA and the OEM ones.
specs of the ones i plan to get are:
55watt h3 bulbs
15 amp line in fuse
sae approved
dimensinos per lamp = 5.5"H x 5.5" W x 3.0 D
Any help apreciated!!

Other wise you need more information about light pattern and cutoff before an informed decision could be made.
Does it include mounting instructions? Does it matter how they are mounted ie; can they be mounted upside down or sideways or can they only be mounted rightside up?

With these specs they could be driving lights just as easily as they could be fog lights. Good luck.
The lighting pattern refers to where the beam will shine. Fog lights have a broad beam pattern (high angle) to light up not only the road but the sides as well. Driving lights have a lower beam angle and shine far ahead on the road. Go to The PIAA or Hella site and you should be able to find a description and diagram of each.
The cutoff refers to how sharp the top of the beam will stop. A bad lense will let a lot of light go higher than you want (blinding oncoming traffic and reducing the light that gets to the road).
